Everday Makeup in the Fall
Does anyone have a go-to makeup look specifically for autumn? I feel as if most people do, including myself. For some reason, fall seems to call for more heavy bronze shades of eyeshadow and dark red lipstick. It just fits very well for the time of year.
I have come up with my very own fall makeup tutorial that I would like to share with you. If you’re looking for a whole look or if you just need a few ideas, I hope this will help!
Face
First, I put moisturizing foundation cream by Laura Mercier and use my beauty blender (sponge applicator) to blend it all over my face. Then, I use a radiant concealer by Too Faced to blend the color and cover spots or lines under my eyes, on my eyelids, and over my upper lip.
Once the creamy part is all done, I use a medium tan powder foundation by bareMinerals and brush that all over my face and neck with a a large contour brush from Tarte. Using another product by Too Faced, I brush "Love Flush Blush" pink blush over my cheekbones. To make it more natural, I blend it using the same brush that I use for my powder foundation.
Eyebrows
Since my eyebrows are dark and thick, I like to fill them in to make sure they're perfectly lined. Most people use an eyebrow pencil to fill them in, but I actually use a dark brown eyeshadow from a mini Naked Basic Urban Decay palette and fill my brows using a thick, tiny eyeshadow brush from bareMinerals. It works super well and makes my eyebrows one of my best features!
Eyes
The next part is the most creative part of doing makeup: eyes! So first, I like to put some eyeshadow over my eyelids. I like natural colors for eyeshadow, but I also like to have a little fun. For fall, I like to use sparkly gold or bronze eyeshadow to match the yellow/brown leaves on the trees. I use one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes from Urban Decay which consists of mostly bronze, silver, and gold shades. Depending on my mood or the occasion, I like to use either “Half Baked” gold or “Chopper” bronze.
For mascara (after curling my lashes with an eyelash curler), I first start with a "Supervision" lash premier by Urban Decay which I put over my lashes and wait two to three minutes before I put the volume mascara on. Once I've waited long enough, I put "Better Than Sex" mascara by Too Faced and put over both my upper and under eyelashes until they look long and layered.
Lips
Finally, we add a bold color on our lips! Depending on the occasion or time of day, I like to either use my red lip stainer by RealHer and red matte lip crayon by treStiQue together or my creamy neutral brown "Liptensity" lipstick by MAC Cosmetics.
To finish the look, I use my "Make Up For Ever" setting spray from Sephora, that way my makeup stays fresh and still for hours. All done, and now you’re ready for the perfect fall day in a pumpkin patch or at a fancy dinner event!
