Hair & Skin Routine

Everyone has different textures, colors, lengths, and thickness when it comes to hairstyles, so I can only say what products have worked best for me and what could work best for you. The same goes for skin! Although not exactly the same, but you get the jist of it.

For quite some time, I wished for a different hair color like red or blonde. I wasn't sure how I felt about my brown hair (probably because it's the same color as dirt). I also got bad acne in high school, so bad that I had to get prescribed to a medicine that would prevent my face from breaking out.

But as I've grown older, I finally have learned to love my hair for what it is. I love the color (I think it looks more like chocolate rather than dirt!), I love how long and thick it is, I love how well it styles, I love how it looks with my skin tone, and I can't imagine having any other hair color. I am also proud of my soft and healthy skin that now barely gets bad acne. I use many different types of products for my hair and skin, and they all have work spontaneously for me and should work for you.

Shampoo & Conditioner: Sebastian Penetraitt

My very talented and creative hairdresser gave me shampoo and conditioner from Sebastian Penetrant as a graduation gift, and I've been using it for almost two years now. My hair has been more healthy than ever, especially since it can last more than twenty-four hours which means I don't have to wash it as much. It works really well with my long, thick brunette flow and can for any type of hair.

Dry Shampoo: Living Proof

I would seriously use any Living Proof product for my hair any day. Using dry shampoo is tremendous because since I have long and thick hair, I don't need to wash it every single day. I actually read somewhere that it's not healthy to wash hair everyday and it's best to do it only three to four times a week. If it weren't for dry shampoo, I would have to wash my hair every single day!

Styling Gel: Sebastian Potion 9

I don't use mousse, so styling gel is the first option for hairstyle. I usually put this on after showering, but what's great about this gel is that you can also use it when your hair is dry to give it more style and glow. What's better than more style and glow?

Hairpsray: Bumble and Bumble Shine On

If you have thick hair and want the style to last all day, I definitely recommend this hairspray. I've actually owned this product for a few years and I started using it again recently, and I like it more than other hairspray products that I have used. It also smells good and fresh, so that's a bonus!

Body Wash: Dove Purely Pampering Sweet Cream and Peony

I think all Dove products make skin 10x softer than any other body wash product. You've probably seen their commercials, it's provides the true fact that it works and feels much better than soap bars, which just makes skin more dry. Another positive about Dove body wash that I love is that it comes in various flavors that are all very sweet. My favorite is the Purely Pampering Sweet Cream and Peony, a perfect of two of my favorite scents: vanilla and flowers.

Face Cleanser: Neutrogena Pore Refining

I love using Neutrogena products for my face. This specific cleanser has been dermatologist-tested and is said to all pore and dead skin in only half a week. is a little hard to wash off, so I use it in the shower which helps if I do it in the morning and I don't have to use my regular face moisturizing lotion.

Face Lotion: Neutrogena Healthy Skin

My moisturizer for both the morning and the night. It does a really good job at keeping my face soft and healthy, which also has thankfully prevented acne. It's nice because it's an intense yet gentle cream that helps protect the entire face. It can also be used as a sunscreen!

Eye Cream: Neutrogena Healthy Skin

Believe it or not, but eye cream is extremely important for your skin. It prevents eye bags, aging, puffy eyes, dark circles, and wrinkles. It's definitely worked for me, especially for my tiny eye bags. Using it should make you look young always. You'll probably still look 20-years old at 50!

Body Lotion: Anything from Bath & Body Works

It's impossible to choose just one favorite lotion, they all feel good and smell amazing! If I had to recommend my most used one though, it would have to be A Thousand Wishes. I've used it for so long and I love the floral scent. It's perfect to use all year round!

Facial Clay Mask: Freeman Feeling Beautiful Avocado & Oatmeal

This is the only face mask I have ever used and the results are so good. The instructions say to leave it on your face and neck no longer than 10-15 minutes before it dries up, then wash it often and both features become super soft and shiny. Plus, it's avocado and oatmeal flavored, two healthy and fresh flavors that are great for skin! Of course, you still need to eat fresh and healthy foods to keep your skin just as healthy.
